Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus)
Description: Greyish back and lighter and barred below. It has dark "sideburns" extending down its cheeks. In flight, the wings appear narrow and pointed and it has a quick, shallow wingbeat.
Range: Nearly worldwide.
Habitat: Sometimes found in cities but mostly in cliffs and open country. Generally it will be found wherever large groups of prey gather.
General: This bird is considered endangered. It feeds on small shorebirds, pigeons and larger perching birds.
