Herbaceous and other plants include a wide variety of grasses, sedges, rushes, wildflowers, and ferns. They are defined by their non-woody above ground cover, and by stems that usually die back every year. They are best utilized for ground cover and promoting biodiversity, attracting birds and grazing animals, and providing important forage and habitat for wildlife. |
