Shrubs

Shrubs are defined as woody, multi-stemmed plants or small trees less than 10m tall. Most bear fleshy fruit that is eaten by wildlife and humans. The wide variety and abundance of shrubs around Southern Vancouver Island helps to maintain biodiversity, while providing stability to stream banks and establishing instream cover.
